Self-introduction: Dr. Xiao Wang received her bachelor degree in chemistry from Peking University in China (2010) and her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Chicago (2015). During her graduate work in Prof Chuan He`s lab, she investigated chemical modifications of human messenger RNA and for the first time revealed how dynamic RNA modifications could tune gene expression through reader proteins. As a postdoc in Prof Deisseroth`s lab at Stanford University, she aims to measure and engineer RNA molecules to tackle important questions in neuroscience with the development of in situ RNA-sequencing technology.
