摘要：
Long non-coding RNAs have emerged as key players in cellular functions and human diseases. Though majority of the transcriptome is annoted as lncRNA, only very few have been studied individually. Elucidating function and mechanism of lncRNA will pave the way for identifying novel therapeutics for treating diseases. Myheart is a new lncRNA that protects the heart from pathological cardiac hypertrophy. In the talk, Dr. Han will share the story of discovering Myheart and the new mechanism of how it works, and importantly, how to utilize the lessons learned for developing innovative therapeutics.
